Flexible Frequency Sounders Prove a Hit!
Both the Hondex HE7300V and HE1500V can be connected to any working transducer desgined to operate between 28 and 200 kHz. The frequency on both sounders can be adjusted in 1Kz steps making them the ideal solution for skippers wishing to use their old transducer originally supplied with an echosunder now long out of production.
Echomaster reports that sales of the Suzuki ES1080 flexible frequency sounders have exceeded expectations and skippers and dealers are reporting good results
Using the ship's existing transducer saves times on slipping costs and lost fishing time. ES1080s have successfully been connected to a wide range of transducers from many different manufacturers.
Sales of the Skipper GDF201 echounder have also been buoyant and include installations by L3 Communications on the new Peterhead based Harvester and Ocean Harvest, and the new Endeavour presently being built by macduff Shipyards for Peter Love and supplied by woodsons of Aberdeen.
The Skipper GDF201 can be supplied in any frequency for connection to new or existing transducers from a wide range of manufacturers.

New Simrad SX93 Sonar Detects Massive School of Mackerel
30/10/2009 -Echomaster Marine recently installed the new Simrad SX93 Low Frequency Omni Directional Sonar on James Duthie Fraserburgh based pelagic trawler, Sunbeam and are pleased to report excellent results. Small schools of mackerel and herring were consistently detected at 2000 metres and during the trip a school of Mackerel 3.5km long and 50m deep was recorded. It was the largest single school anyone onboard had seen recorded on a sonar.
Simrad SX90 Now with Audio Output
23/05/2009 -Simrad have answered user requests for sound and enhanced noise filtering on the SX90 Sonar. Users need only to connect a pair of powered speakers to the SX90 computer to take full advantage of the new audio functionality.

07/05/2007 -Macduff Shipyards Ltd are presently constructing a new 27 meter Fishery Research vessel for Fishery Research Services of Aberdeen. The vessel has been designed by Macduff Shipyards Ltd and the project is under the management of Macduff Ship Design Ltd.
