Ian joins skipper and crew of the Artemis on her maiden trip

Echomaster Marine Service Manager Ian Butcher recently joined the Skipper and crew of the new build Artemis BF60 on her maiden fishing trip from Karstensens Skibsvaerft, Denmark.  The Artemis was handed over to her owners Wiseman Fishing Company of Banff and Northbay Fishing Company of Peterhead on 13th September 2022.  

The Artemis delivery was the culmination of a two year project for the Echomaster Team from initial meetings with Adam and Alex Wiseman in August 2020 to delivery and commissioning of the comprehensive electronics package in summer 2022.  

Included in the electronics package were three state-of-the-art sonars from Simrad including the ST94 low frequency omni-directional sonar, and SN90 mid-frequency forward looking fan beam sonar and an MF90 mid frequency omni directional sonar with new and improved transceiver unit.

The team at Echomaster Marine worked closely alongside Karstensens and the electricians from KS Elektro, providing detailed drawings and instructions for the equipment, ensuring a smooth installation for all concerned.

Ian and Graeme visited the yard in August to commission the packaged, which Ian returning in early September for the final fit, sailing with the vessel as she left Skagen.
