I am one of the service engineers my main duties are installing and repairing equipment and showing customers how to use equipment.
Best advice given to me when I joined Echomaster Marine was never to use white cable ties as service manager doesn’t like them.
Biggest misconception people think we are Sparky’s
No 2 days are the same in Echomaster Marine. Every day is different giving you a variety of jobs. In a day you could be aboard a small fishing vessel where you need to keep your boots on to stay clean and then in the afternoon you could be aboard a pelagic trawler where you need to take your work boots off, so you don’t make a mess.
Most likely find me at weekends away with my caravan with wife and kids or watching Fraserburgh Fc playing football or watching my son play football for Fraserburgh Link Up Youth Football Club.
Proudest Personal Achievement was being a volunteer crew member aboard the Fraserburgh Lifeboat Willie and May Gall but due to previous work commitments and not enough spare time I had to give up my role. People often ask me if I miss it. With the following response being yes/no. With yes, I miss the banter with the lads. Then no I don’t because I don’t have to worry about the pager being activated and missing out on family commitments or being in the middle of Tesco’s and having to leave everything and run.
My ideal Friday night is sitting on a caravan site with my wife and kids and seeing the kids having fun and sitting chilling also partial to a blue raspberry vodka and lemonade when away with caravan.
